NAIFA is an international organization of professional real estate appraisers committed to the support of its members, for a service of trust and integrity, that benefits the members, the profession and the general public.
We have developed a website that is specific to our regional membership. Currently the Chicago Chapter's membership is composed of real estate appraisers from throughout the Chicago and Northeastern Illinois area. We have a very active chapter with several luncheon meetings and educational offerings throughout the year.
April 12th turned out to be another record-breaking attendence day for CMC NAIFA, as Mr. Brian Weaver, Coordinator of the Appraisal Division of the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation was our special guest luncheon speaker.
Nearly 200 of our fellow appraisers learned the top 12 ways to mess up their careers, as well as overall updates on the status of appraisal business in the state. We were all honored to have Mr. Weaver join us, and the 'exit polls' were off the charts as the best luncheon presentation we've had in years!
Now, as great as that presentation was, we have more excellent programs coming up.
On May 1st, there will be newly updated MLS and Realist training sessions. You can choose from a morning or afternoon session, with Jerry Hoffman of MRED. Seating is limited to only 60 per session, and the cost is a very reasonable $15. Don't wait!
And special congratulations go to
Lisa Musial
NAIFA Appraiser of the Year, and
John Wittert, Illinois Appraiser of the year.
