03/15/2007 Dana Marberry Community Relaitions Manager, Office of the Cook County Assessor

Mr. Marberry spoke on the valuation process, practices and efforts of the Assessor. His presentation included a review of the features of the new "vitual office" website, GIS and interactive mapping, periodic reassessments and appeals processes.

Present practice consists of Eminent Domain matters in the six counties comprising the Chicago metropolitan area, mainly for owners, but also for some local condemning bodies other than agencies of the State of Illinois.
